Skin and Hair Care for Every Budget

The body's largest organ is the skin, and everything we put on our skin
is easily absorbed through the pores. Nicotine and hormone patches work
on this principle. Therefore, we should be very careful about the products
we use on our skin.
Most commercial skin and hair care products consist of chemical cocktails
that not only damage our skin, but may also harm our health. We would
never consider ingesting these poisons, yet many people never think
about this when they use moisturisers and shampoos on their skin or
scalp.
Maple Street Co-op has two new Australian skin care ranges to pamper
and protect your skin and hair. Sanctum is a Byron Bay company that
is certified organic and contains no artificial preservatives, colours,
fragrances, animal-derived ingredients or petrochemicals. It is also
certified by the UK Vegan Society.
All of Sanctum's products are made on the premises in the pristine environment
of Byron Bay. Sanctum uses locally-harvested ingredients in combination
with therapeutic herbal and plant extracts, as well as active vitamins
and essential oils. Come in and try some Sanctum products or ask for
some free samples.
Sukin is another Australian skin care range and it contains some organic
botanicals and essential oils but is not certified organic. Sukin products
are free from sodium lauryl sulphate, artificial fragrances and colours,
animal derivatives, harsh detergents, petrochemicals, mineral oils,
triethanolamine and parabans.
The Co-op also carries Maleny's own Mukti Botanicals, now certified
organic, as well as Miessence, another certified organic skin care and
cosmetic range.
As we emerge from one of the coldest winters in years, many of us could
do with some skin pampering, so replenish, hydrate and balance your
skin and hair with a natural product that suits your budget.
