Perfect Potions: Certified Organic Essential Oils
by Alan Harrington

The Co-op has introduced the Perfect Potion brand of Australian-certified organic essential oils. This company is proud to offer a range of the finest-quality TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) listed and ACO (Australian Certified Organic) approved essential oils that have been sourced by local and international farmers.

Organic farming is a system of agriculture that works with nature rather than against it. The important point about these oils being certified organic is that they have been produced from plants that are grown and processed without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers or GMOs.

The people at Perfect Potion think that organic essential oils are better. "Once you have tried them, you will return for more. There is an irresistible, vibrant quality to these oils that makes them unique."

Apart from the practice of aromatherapy, there are many ways that essential oils can be used in our everyday activities. They can be used in massage, in the bath, as a compress, and for steam inhalation and vaporisation.

There are a few handy points to note when using essential oils. For example, never keep a burning object unattended and never allow the oil and water in the burner to dry out. Keep the burner clean by wiping the bowl with a damp cloth after use.

All Perfect Potion essential oils come in amber glass bottles with restrictive flow devices and tamper-evident caps for both safety and convenience.

Remember, always store your essential oils in a cool, dry and dark place away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep them well sealed and out of the reach of children, and do not place them or mix them in plastic containers. Essential oils will keep for up to five years if properly stored.

There is a wide range of Perfect Potion essential oils in stock, and the Co-op's friendly staff can provide you with specific advice if you so require. There is also a comprehensive brochure available.

The retail prices vary depending on the nature of the particular ingredients. However, in the main, the retail price is $14.95 for a 10 mL bottle (members receive a 5% discount).
