Ha-Ra: Cleanliness without the Chemicals

The Co-op has introduced the famous Hans Raab Ha-Ra environmentally sound "cleaning system" which offers "The Greenest Clean".

This range of products utilises a patented woven (not knitted) microfibre that will last for years if used correctly. It includes cloths, gloves, mops and other devices to suit specific cleaning jobs: kitchen surfaces, floors, windows, doormats, cars and more.

The interesting thing about these cleaning products is that they work with just water and elbow grease: you simply dampen the cloth before use and you don't need to use detergents or any other cleaning agents (except perhaps to wash out the cloth after use).

These Ha-Ra products are a boon for domestic and professional cleaners alike. They're safe, efficient and ergonomically designed for easy use. Although the initial outlay could be considered significant, the products are economical in the long run. Plus, you save by not having to spend money on detergents and other cleaning agents, whether benign or toxic.

Both the Co-op and The UpFront Club have switched over to this cleaning system, and staff members are really impressed with the results.

The Co-op's Lori Sturtz thinks the Ha-Ra cleaning cloth works like a dream. "It's fantastic!" she declared after putting one to the test in the kitchen.

There will be demonstrations of the Ha-Ra system at the Co-op from time to time. Meantime, feel free to ask any of the staff to explain the system to you.
