Kellie Campbell Joins Co-op Board of Directors
On 19 February we welcomed Kellie Campbell as a new Director to the
Maple Street Co-op Board. Kellie is originally from Melbourne and
moved to Paddington, Brisbane, in January 2002. After a year there
she decided “clean and green suited me better”, and relocated
to Maleny in January 2003.
It seems new starts have been a common theme in Kellie’s life
of late. Apart from becoming a Co-op Director early this year, she
took on a new job as an IVF liaison officer with IVF Sunshine Coast,
Kawana, in October last year. Her role is to liaise with GPs and the
general public regarding all aspects of IVF treatment, specifically
education. Prior to this, Kellie spent 10 years as a pharmaceutical
company representative.
Says Kellie on joining the Co-op Board: “I wanted to become
a Co-op Director simply to become involved in a part of Maleny that
is integral to its character. Both the Co-op and The UpFront Club
represent this. I am interested in organics and natural health, and
also am a big fan of making informed choices. Accurate, unbiased information
is important.
“Co-ops are hugely important as they represent the community
in which they exist with no other aim than to provide resources that
members want.
Before she considers how she would like to change or improve the Co-op
and Club, Kellie says she’d like to “get a clear understanding
of where we are now, and where we want to be in the future”.
Kellie’s hobbies include kayaking, running, piano lessons and
being with friends.
